Google flies you to the moon
Today is the 40th anniversary of the first moon walk, the Internet giant on Monday released an addition to its Google Earth mapping software to

Microsoft announces Azure pricing, details
Microsoft announced how much it will charge companies that want to use its Windows Azure cloud computing service when it is released in final form
this fall. The software maker announced a variety of plans, including one that charges purely on consumption and another that offers discounted
rates for those that agree to a six-month commitment.
Microsoft also announced pricing for its SQL Azure database, charging $9.99 for the basic Web edition, including up to a 1GB relational database and
$99.99 for the Business Edition, which includes up to a 10GB database.

The next version of Office moved a step closer to reality as Microsoft released an invitation-only technical preview of Office 2010.
Those so-called Office Web Applications are being demonstrated today, but the technical preview of the Web apps won't come until later this year.
For consumers, Microsoft plans to make the browser-based versions a free part of Windows Live next year. Office 2010 will also come in both 32-bit and
64-bit versions--a first for Office.

Google Chrome Operating System
Google said that it will launch the Google Chrome operating system that initially will target netbook computers by offering a faster,
better and more secure way for users to access Web-based applications. More details in the below blogs.
There are the main interesting items:
- It’s open source
- It’s a lightweight OS aimed at netbooks
- It’ll be available to consumers in the second-half of 2010
- It’ll run in x86 and ARM processors
- The idea is for you to be on the web in seconds

Office 2010 is the next big thing. Watch out here.
The final version of Office 2010 is due out next year. To run the desktop versions of Office 2010, Microsoft said that users will need either Windows XP SP3, Windows Vista,
or Windows 7.

Today, Microsoft announced Microsoft Hohm. That's Hohm as in H + OHM, the unit of measurement for
electrical impedance.
Microsoft Hohm is a free online beta application that helps you save energy and money. With Microsoft Hohm you can better understand your
home energy usage, get recommendations to conserve energy and start saving.. The beta is now available to all residents in the United States
with plans to roll out internationally over the next year and beyond.
As with any recommendation engine,Hohm will provide increasingly more accurate and relevant suggestions for energy conservation as its users
contribute home energy input and feedback.

Windows 7 Release Candidate
Since this is pre-release software, this is what Microsoft says:
- The RC release will be available at least through June 2009 and we’re not limiting the number of product keys, so you have plenty of time.
- The RC will expire on June 1, 2010. Starting on March 1, 2010, your PC will begin shutting down every two hours. Windows will notify you two weeks before the bi-hourly shutdowns start. To avoid interruption, you’ll need to install a non-expired version of Windows before March 1, 2010
- Be sure to back up your data and please don’t test Windows 7 RC on your primary home or business PC
- before installing the RC please read the Release Notes, and Things to Know for important information about the release
- Be sure turn on automatic updates in Windows Update in case we publish updates for the RC
